Belgravia Leisure leads the way with top safety scores in NSW
As the summer season approaches, Belgravia Leisure is proud to announce that three of its premier aquatic venues, Singleton Gym and Swim, Prince Alfred Park Pool and Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre, have each achieved an outstanding 98% safety score in the Royal Life Saving NSW Benchmark Report on Aquatic Facility Safety Assessments for 2023/24.
The venues were ranked number one across all venues that participated in the Aquatic Facility Safety Assessment process in NSW. These top scores highlight the exceptional commitment to aquatic safety at each venue, setting them apart as leaders in the industry.
Scott Vanderheyden, Acting Group Health & Safety Manager, praised the achievement, stating, “Achieving a 98% safety score at these venues is a huge accomplishment and a reflection of the exceptional dedication of our teams. This recognition highlights our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards across all Belgravia venues.”
“This recognition is not just about celebrating our success, but also about continuing to improve the safest possible environment for our members and guests. We encourage everyone to contribute to water safety by supervising children, adhering to safety guidelines and participating in GOswim lessons, especially heading into the warmer months,” Scott concluded.
Belgravia Leisure takes responsibility for creating and maintaining a safe aquatic environment and way of work for both team members and communities, continuing to outperform the rest of the industry in NSW when it comes to aquatic safety.
